The Bear Necessities Angel Tree is a month-long animal supply drive inspired by Bear (2012–2016) and Orson (2018–2025), two beloved Pomeranian family members whose joy shaped the heart of our family and this annual tradition.
From December 1–31, we’re collecting new and gently used supplies to help the pets at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society stay warm, fed, and cared for this winter.
In the header above, we have inked the Chewy Wishlist provided from the SFAHS website that ships directly to the shelter.
Whether you donate a bag of food, a toy, a blanket, or cleaning supplies, every item directly supports local animals waiting for their second chance.

🐾 Most-Needed Supplies (2025 List)
You may bring any item from the Humane Society’s official wish list, including:

• Hill’s Science Diet dog & cat food
• Any brand dry dog/cat food (original bag only)
• Dog training treats
• Timothy hay, guinea pig/hamster food
• Domestic bird seed (cockatiel, parakeet, dove)

(No ropes, stuffed animals, thin plastic, or pillows)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM
👉 Saturday times announced on Facebook & via the QR code.
Donations may be placed under the Angel Tree in the Mouw Law Office or outside the office door if the door is closed. Mouw Law is located within Owen's Outfitter's of the Legacy Foundation. A volunteer or team member will ensure all items are delivered safely to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society on or around January 2, 2026 and we will post the results here and on Facebook.
