Where Justice Becomes Community, and Community Becomes Power.
The Raven Community Fund exists for one purpose:
to remove the financial and systemic barriers that prevent people from accessing safety, justice, and stability.
Built from lived experience, trauma stewardship, and community truth-telling, Raven is more than a fund — it is a response network for survivors, families, and communities navigating systems shaped by harm, inequity, and institutional unkindness.
A group of Ravens is called a Conspiracy.
They're also called an Unkindness.
Both fit, and we reclaim the narrative.
⸻
The Conspiracy Is Real. We Investigate Unkindness.
Raven recognizes what many have lived but have never been allowed to name:
💥 The harm wasn’t random.
💥 The silence wasn’t accidental.
💥 The patterns were real all along.
Raven does not gaslight, minimize, or sanitize.
We tell the truth — the whole truth — about:
• bureaucratic abandonment
• coercive system structures
• racialized family policing
• housing and economic extraction
• institutional betrayal
We investigate unkindness, not people.
We restore dignity, not narratives.
We build safety, not dependency.
⸻
What Raven Provides
Three pillars. One ecosystem. Justice that actually reaches people.
1. Prevention
Stabilizing families before systems fracture them.
• Filing fees
• School lunch debt
• Emergency transportation
• Stabilization aid
• Documentation costs
⸻
2. Access
Removing financial barriers to safety and representation.
• Legal cost assistance
• Interpreter and translation support
• Disability and accessibility accommodations
• Retainer assistance (capped, ethical)
• Survivor-centered system navigation
⸻
3. Education
Community empowerment through justice literacy.
• Know Your Rights forums
• Housing & family court navigation
• Youth sovereignty
• Training for advocates & legal workers
⸻
Who Raven Serves
• Survivors of domestic & sexual violence
• Children navigating unsafe custody or school environments
• Indigenous families disproportionately harmed by state systems
• Low-income residents facing abusive landlords or unresponsive municipalities
• Advocates, organizers, and helpers seeking trauma-informed pathways
• Law students, community partners, and professionals seeking ethical training
Raven centers sovereignty, safety, trauma literacy, and community-rooted care.
⸻
Why Raven Exists
Because rights don’t matter if people can’t reach them.
Because systems don’t change without someone naming the truth.
Because no one should navigate crisis alone.
Raven is almost ready to begin operations.
Raven Community Fund is a fiscally sponsored project of the Beverly Ann Miller Foundation.
• a functioning emergency aid structure
• a growing donor network
• legal + administrative infrastructure
• early traction with referrals, advocates, and community elders
Raven is almost ready. And the community is ready for Raven.
⸻
Core Values
These values guide every decision, every dollar, every moment of stewardship.
Trauma-Informed Community Care
We meet people where they are — emotionally, financially, structurally.
Support should restore, not retraumatize.
Sovereignty & Self-Determination
We expand people’s power; we never replace it.
Radical Transparency
No hidden criteria. No gatekeeping. No insider language.
Decolonized Practice & Systemic Accountability
We refuse to replicate extractive or punitive systems.
We name harm instead of normalizing it.
Strength Without Violence
Coherence. Integrity. Boundaries. Truth.
Not intimidation.
Community Responsibility & Collective Wellbeing
Justice is a shared project.
Respect for Life, Land & Indigenous Stewardship
We root our work in relationship and consent.
Guardianship, Not Gatekeeping
Knowledge is a communal resource — we open doors, not block them.
The Raven Ethos
Wisdom. Witnessing. Transformation. Community.
⸻
Funding the Conspiracy
Raven operates through a three-wing funding triad:
Wing One — The Legal Conspiracy
Trauma-aware attorneys and legal workers ethically reinvest into community access.
Wing Two — The Community Conspiracy
Collective giving as an act of justice.
Wing Three — The Air-Gap Wing
Protected, sovereignty-based giving for those who must remain unseen.
Grants act as the fourth orbiting amplifier — they scale our impact without compromising values.
⸻
How Funding Decisions Work
Raven uses a conflict-free, transparent, and fast-response model.
Emergency Requests (48 hours)
For needs involving safety, housing, urgent court deadlines, vehicle seizure, or irreversible harm.
Decided by the Emergency Fund Committee.
Standard Requests (7 days)
For support that improves access but isn’t immediately life-altering.
Decided by Program & Finance.
Prohibited Uses
• criminal defense (violent offenses)
• fines or restitution
• political campaigns
Documentation
Minimal barrier. Respectful. Trauma-aware.
Appeals
Denied applicants may request review by a different quorum.
Reporting
Quarterly anonymized reporting protects dignity and transparency.
⸻
The Long-Term Vision (2026–2028+)
Raven is building a justice ecosystem, not a single program.
Phase One — Foundation & First Impact (2026)
• Emergency microgrants
• Referral networks
• Community education
• Trauma-informed intake
Phase Two — Network Building
• The Raven Constellation: Blackwing Circuit, Sovereign Spiral, Stewardship Cohort
• Expanded community education
• Donor base development
Phase Three — Ecosystem Deepening
• Trauma & Restoration Pods
• Raven Justice Fellowship
• Air-Gap prototype nodes
Phase Four — Long-Term Sustainability
The Raven-Aligned Service Collective —
GALs, PCs, evaluators, advocates, and trauma-informed professionals trained through Raven and financially accessible through Raven.
Raven becomes a community-rooted justice engine that cannot collapse.
⸻
Join the Conspiracy Against Injustice
This is not charity.
This is not saviorism.
This is not pity-based fundraising.
This is collective liberation funded by collective responsibility.
You are invited to join us — as a donor, advocate, partner, or survivor walking your sovereign path.
Raven doesn’t just respond to harm.
Raven interrupts the system that allowed it.
